Salvaged bird's nest with 3 porcelain eggs
This nest appears to have had several lives. I believe there is a nest within a nest so I can only assume it was either used by multiple birds or was remade over the years by a returning bird. It was an abandoned nest from a hedge that was cut down and is now home to 3 different sized porcelain eggs from my first ever saggar firing. These eggs were fired in a saggar with hay, sawdust and natural fibres including avocado and banana skins. A gentle colouring - just how I like it!
Nest size is 18cm diam x 11cm high. Eggs range from 6cm - 4.5cm
