Thrown on the wheel as a cylinder and then pushed and pulled off centre to give each vase its organic and unstructured shape, this vase has a porcelain clay base and has different clays added to it in varying proportions. It has multiple glazes applied and overlapped in places so that each piece is completely unique. I love the layering at each stage and the visual feast of the finished piece. These came out of the kiln just before it snowed so I see them through wintery icy eyes!
