Timeworn Coastal Path Stone Vessel
This is in a series of works that I am currently studying around aged stones. All of my other ceramic ‘stone’ vessels to date have been based on Cotswold stones but maybe because I made this during the summer I kept thinking of coastal path stones! All glazes are mixed from scratch and each piece has its own individual shape. No two pieces are alike and each piece takes several weeks from start to finish to achieve the build up of age. This is a big hefty piece and wouldn’t blow over in a strong wind!!! It deserves to be pride of place in a large space … great for a reception hall or large table needing a centrepiece.
