This bowl has undergone many layers of transition. It started life as a thrown bowl on the wheel and subsequently was warped into more of an oval shape and textures added in many different forms. It has been fired multiple times and now has a wonderful rugged and wild feel. I am completely in love with it!! It has a cracked internal finish from porcelain and slips and externally it has a weathered look with multiple textures showing in different parts of the bowl. It is decorative and a piece of art rather than a usable bowl for food. It is the start of more textures like this to come. A prototype of texture!
