This large serving platter is part of a current series of cracked surfaces I’m playing with. The plate has been fired 3 times with slips that crack during the second firing before the final glaze goes on. The glaze also has a crackle effect which seals the underneath layer whilst adding extra visual interest. I have only made one of these. The plate is robust and dishwasher safe.
