Thrown on the wheel this style of vessel starts with a black clay base and has a variety of slips, light textiles and glazes applied and overlapped in places so that each piece is completely unique. The idea is to create a network of mycelium where earth and mycelium mix together in an intricate network. I’ve continued the mixed glazes inside this vessel too for depth and interest. Despite it’s artistic look it is a fully usable bowl.
