This hand built bowl has been made with a Porcelain base and other clay slips and aggregates added so there is a sandy textured exterior contrasting with a pure smooth interior of turquoise and blue hues that can be seen reflected in water on cloudless days. The rough texture gives the piece weight whilst the rim is quite fine and works so well with the delicate internal surface. It has a wonderful ring to it too. You really have to get up close and personal to appreciate the full effect!
