Full Moon Bowls - Pink Moon
This group of bowls was thrown on the night of the full moon in April 2026 - namely the Pink Moon. This is part of a series of special edition bowls that I am throwing each month whilst the moon is full, to work with the full moon and any special energy it may offer. Each moon has its own name and qualities. This moon is named after the early Spring wildflower pink phlox and marks the first full moon of the spring season representing growth and renewal. It can also be called the Egg Moon or Sprouting Moon.
I am deliberately decorating them with craters and lava glazes to further emphasise their moon connection! These bowls had a black clay base and are watertight and can therefore be used for cocoa ceremonies if required. They are robust and dishwasher safe.
The mother bowl - the largest of the group is 23cm x 10cm and the others in this series are 11cm x 11cm. I made 1 large and 7 smaller bowls during this full moon.
