This hand built bowl has been made with a Porcelain base and other clay slips and aggregates added so there is a textured earth like exterior contrasting with a pure smooth interior of blue hues with a skyward feel. The rough texture gives the piece weight whilst the rim is quite fine and works so well with the delicate internal surface. It has a wonderful ring to it too. You really have to get up close and personal to appreciate the full effect!
