This hand built bowl has a smooth inner surface with colours of the sky reflecting as you look inside and a rough earthy textured look and feel on the outside. It has been made with Porcelain and other clay slips and other aggregate additions so there is much of the earth on the outside! The rough texture gives the piece weight whilst the rim is quite fine and works so well with the inside and a delicate feeling of light. It has a wonderful ring to it too. You really have to get up close and personal to appreciate the full effect!
