This large black and white vessel has an eroded feel. Inside is glazed with an interesting smooth texture - watertight and fit for any practical purpose. Outside is a dry cracked but sanded back smooth surface with depth and texture. The rim of the vessel is curved and strong. This is a highly usable piece of art - a strong object which can be used daily, unlike some of my other more decorative finer pieces.
