These porcelain cups were thrown on the Worm Moon - the full moon in March 2026. It is the second time I’ve thrown during the full moon and it is a very a special experience. I have incorporated craters to give further moon like qualities to these vessels. I made one large bowl and four cups with cacao ceremonies in mind, which can be purchased individually. They are designed to be cupped in the hand with a thumb resting in the handle. I will continue to throw bowls and cups during the full moons this year whenever possible. Each moon will have its own name and qualities. This moon symbolises seasonal change and renewal. The name refers to earthworms reappearing as the ground thaws in early Spring and marks the end of winter’s dormancy and the return of life. All glazes are hand mixed. The inside of each cup is fully glazed and can be used for any liquids. Fully dishwasher proof. Commissions welcome for future full moon items.
