Thrown on the wheel, this bowl has had multiple firings as it has undergone its change into a barnacle encrusted form. It now looks authentically old with a thick glaze to give the effect of frothing waters lapping at the sides. I am going to make a series of bowls focusing on barnacles amongst the rocks so this is an early prototype. The interior of the bowl has a blue base and more textures to give the effect of a rock pool form. These are great fun and time consuming to make as there is a lot of fiddling about with each barnacle.
